Author Will Return to Home Town to Speak at Strongsville Library

Lisa Black will sign books Sept. 28

Strongsville native Lisa Black, author of a series of crime fiction thrillers featuring Cleveland forensic scientist Theresa MacLean, will speak at the Strongsville Library at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.

In the most recent book, Defensive Wounds, Theresa fears both she and her daughter are in grave danger as she searches for the threads that tie three murder victims together.

Books will be available for purchase and signing, courtesy of the Friends of the Strongsville Branch Library and Mac’s Backs – Books on Coventry.

Lisa Black is a latent fingerprint examiner for the Cape Coral, FL, Police Department and a former forensic scientist for the Cleveland coroner’s office. She lends her expertise in crime scene fingerprinting and photography, latent print processing and comparison, and blood spatter pattern analysis.

A member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Black has testified in more than 50 homicide trials.

Her three previous Theresa MacLean thrillers are Trail of Blood, Evidence of Murder, and Takeover.
