'Bake a Book' Contest is for Teens

Turn a favorite read into a tasty treat

Love books and also love to bake cakes? Teens in grades 6-12 in Strongsville are invited to enter the second annual Bake-a-Book Contest, a collaboration with local schools and the Polaris Career Center. 

Choose a book from your school’s media center or local public library and adapt it into a cake. Official rules are available at the .

Complete the official entry form at www.polaris.edu/register (click on "Bake-A-Book" icon). Registration must be received by 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13

Winners will be announced Jan. 21 at Polaris Career Center. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the 6-8 grade category and the 9-12 grade category.

The program is a collaboration of the Polaris Career Center and the Berea, Brook Park, Brooklyn, Fairview Park, Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls and Strongsville branches of Cuyahoga County Public Library.
