F.U.N. Wellness Event for Kids is March 3

Youth group will give youngsters a taste of healthy food and exercise

The Strongsville Youth Commission will have a FUN Wellness Extravaganza for elementary school kids and their families from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Ehrnfelt Recreation Center

Admission is free.

Local businesses will offer samples of healthy foods and fun fitness activities. Participants will include Dynamic Fitness, Embrace Salon and Spa, Vemma Nutrition, Yoga by Kim, Southwest General, Aladdin's Eatery, MetroHealth and many more.

There will also be a bounce house courtesy of Strongsville Space Walk and face painting, as well as a raffle for prizes like a scooter, Yonana maker and a mini trampoline.

The Strongsville Youth Commission is a group of high school students and adult mentors dedicated to making the world a better place. The wellness event is sponsored by a subgroup called Fitness and Understanding Nutrition (FUN).

Group members are high school students Hannah Smith, Eileen McCafferty, Bryce Blake, Brian Kammer and Adrian Padin and adult mentor Atheetha Venkatesh.
