Strongsville Community Theatre to Audition for Musical

Large cast needed for 'Bye Bye Birdie'

Strongsville Community Theatre will audition teens and adults for its fall production of Bye Bye Birdie.

Auditions will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, July 28 and 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, July 29 Ehrnfelt Senior Center, 18100 Royalton Rd., behind Target. 

Hopefuls should come prepared to sing 32 bars of music in the style of the show that will best display their vocal ability. An accompanist will be provided.

Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be drafted into the Army. In one final publicity tour, Birdie arrives in Sweet Apple, Ohio causing the quiet little town to go into a spin.

There are roles for many actors of all ages, including speaking, non-speaking, singing and non-singing, dancing and not!

Performance dates will be Nov. 8-17 at the Strongsville High School Little Theater.
