Tale of a Foreclosed Property Renovation in Lakewood: Living Spaces

Don't believe it can be done? Check out the photos.

Up to this point I have only blogged about some of the major projects in the house — those being the , , , and .

With this blog I simpy want to show the before and after of the main living spaces.

These rooms required much less work and, for the most part, was simply refinishing all of the hardwood floors in the house, cleaning and or refinishing the original wood trim, painting all of the walls and ceilings, installing new light fixtures and replacing all of the old outlets and switches.

The smaller details like medallions above the chandaliers were added over the years.

Fingers crossed we are almost done.

The decorating of the rooms is another story all together.

The eye popping yet classic style is that of my brother on the first floor.

As much as I enjoy how my apartment looks, I'm always striving to achieve the same feel that he does with his unit. It is one of absolute peace and he has a gift at achieving that.

Just happened to come across this bog on the Lakewood Patch. I was looking at the photos and realized you are my neighbor...the house looks amazing inside! Great job!

Thanks Theresa. I appreciate the comment and compliment. My last major project needs to be my garage. It should be condemned. Thanks to you too, Barbara.
