A Taste of Excellence, 16888 Pearl Rd., has moved into what Painter called a "beautiful" renovation of the former Strongsville Lanes and in the fall will open a bakery. That will be followed by a farmers' market next year. "It's really going to update that whole area of town," Painter said.

• Crews are removing asbestos at the former on Pearl Road just south of Royalton Road and the building is expected to be torn down next week. It will be replaced by a new shopping center and new tenants.

• , located in the city's industrial park, will break ground June 10 for a $6 million expansion that will allow the company "to make LED lighting material in Strongsville," Painter said.
