Buyer for Strongsville Golf to be Revealed by Monday

Lots of rumors out there, but company will make announcement at City Council meeting

The company seeking to buy the  property on Pearl Road is to be revealed at Monday's City Council meeting.

Council will have a public hearing on a propozed rezoning of the property, which is now spilt between R-1 residential and restaurant-recreation.

The new owner wants the entire site to be zoned general business.

The change from residential would have to be approved by voters to take effect, under the city's charter.

Attorney Nick Catanzarite said the sale would involve the entire 13.5 acres. Strongsville Golf and currently lease space there.

But he said he could not release the name of the company buying the property until the public hearing. 

Strongsville Golf, 15919 Pearl Rd., is operated by golf pro Gary Trivisonno and offers private lessons, an indoor golf course simulator and an 18-hole miniature golf course.

The Strongsville Golf lease expires at the end of this year; Honey Hut's is up in the spring.
