Family Video Raising Money for Lymphoma Research

Company asks customers to 'round it up'

has launched a fundraising venture to benefit the Lymphoma Research Foundation, the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding lymphoma research and to serving those touched by the disease.

Round It Up for Lymphoma launched March 15 in Family Video stores nationwide, encouraging customers to donate to the Foundation’s innovative research program.

The effort offers Family Video customers a chance to support cancer research by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar.

Then, 100 percent of the proceeds will be used to fund research projects that offer the greatest potential to advance the field of lymphoma research and the discovery of new treatments.

“This horrible disease has had an effect on our employees and their children, and we are going to do something about it!” Family Video President Keith Hoogland said in a news release.

“We are grateful for this unique opportunity and partnership with Family Video,” said Diane Blum, LRF Chief Executive Officer. “The funds generated through Round It Up for Lymphoma will directly support our mission, to eradicate lymphoma.”
