Giant Eagle Market District Plans Go To Architectural Board

Meeting set for Tuesday to look at drawings

Plans for the new Market District store on Pearl Road will go before the city's Architectural Review Board on Tuesday.

Residents are invited to attend, but there is no public participation at ARB meetings, said Carol Oprea, planning department secretary.

Plans for the 110,000-square-foot grocery store will be available for viewing at the meeting.

They are expected to reflect changes sought by the Strongsville Planning Commission after a preliminary review May 10.

Residents near the project site -- which is on the and property -- have said they want input into the plans.

On May 10, Planning Commission members and city officials asked Giant Eagle to make a number of changes in the plans. The revised site plans will return to the Planning Commission for more discussion.
