A new kind daycare center that will offer child care seven days a week and in the evenings is getting ready to open at 16512 Pearl Rd.
Sweet Kiddles Flexible Childcare Center will have a grand opening event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12.
The event will include free food, tours, prizes, a DJ, balloon animals and a ribbon cutting.
Sweet Kiddles will be operated by Andrea Kimmel of Strongsville, who said she for busy working parents.
The drop-in center will accommodate families that don't have 9-to-5 work schedules and also give parents another babysitting choice if they want to go out on the weekends.
The center will stay open till 10 p.m. most weekdays and till 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
It will also give parents another option for unexpected childcare needs, like snow days because it will accept kids on a by-the-day plan.
Sweet Kiddles will occupy 5,400 square feet next to , with 3,000-square-foot playground in the back. The play area will include an outdoor nature learning center.
It will be staffed by early childhood education professionals who will oversee educational projects.
"It's not just babysitting -- it's learning," Kimmel told Strongsville Patch in January.
Week-long day camps will also be available this summer.
Kimmel also hopes to give parents an alternative to traditional babysitting by offering "date night specials" on weekends.
