About Jardine's- WERE their plans for expansion approved? I see last year (4-7-11) the Patch had an article that stated "Jason Jardine said there are no immediate plans to build a crematory at the Pearl Road business, but said he can see a time down the road when there will be a need.He said he called city officials to ask about regulations and learned crematories are not addressed in Strongsville's zoning code.Law Director Ken Kraus said that prompted city officials to draft an amendment to the zoning code to "add local requirements, in addition to state regulations." " Looks like Jardine's wasted no time in seeking approval for building this body burner. "Down the road" must mean once the city adds/changes its zoning for them.

We, our family and neighbors, are wondering if the city of Strongsville is going to actively enforce no residential setting off of fireworks and the like, because of the extremely dry conditions. Especially since already shooting off fireworks has resulted in igniting dry grass. We see a possible hazard to homes with the very dry conditions. Does the city have anything to say about this? I hate to spoil peoples fun, but this year I hope people respect the dangers.

Lyn, the plans were not approved yet. Jardine's still has to go through a few more steps in the zoning/planning process.
