Pro-Gun Group Notes Shops that Welcome Firearms

NEO Carry recently held an open-carry gun demonstration in downtown Kent

NEO Carry, a recently established pro-gun group in Northeast Ohio, is advising members and other Ohio residents who carry guns what businesses they can and cannot carry their weapons into.

The group, which recently held an open-carry demonstration in downtown Kent, has listed dozens of businesses on its website advising which allow people to carry guns on their premises and those that prohibit firearms.

No Strongsville businesses are in the Gun Friendly list, and only one -- SouthPark Mall -- is on the Not Gun Friendly list.

The group is based in the Kent and Akron areas and has made few inroads into the Cleveland suburbs yet.

It does list the Walmart store in Parma as gun-friendly, as well as Augie's Pizza in Independence.

According to NEO Carry, businesses listed as "gun friendly" on the website were identified as such because there are no "Guns Prohibited" signs posted and no problems have been reported for carrying there by NEO Carry members.

Establishments listed as not gun friendly by NEO Carry were identified for either posting signs prohibiting firearms or because members were asked to leave.

The group is also promising other open-carry demonstrations in the area.
