Readers don't like the idea of Black Friday starting at midnight -- or earlier
The results of a are pretty clear -- people don't like the idea of stores opening for Black Friday sales at midnight Thanksgiving night.
Of the 68 people who responded to a Strongsville Patch poll so far, 60 (about 88 percent) said they don't think stores should open that early.
About 10 percent said they don't mind. And only one reader not only likes the idea, but plans to be at the door when the stores open.

The "Save Thanksgiving" campaign was launched by a Nebraska employee who started an online petition to get his employer to change its plans to open at midnight instead of 5 a.m.

Anthony Hardwick started the campaign on Change.org. It had gathered more than 75,000 signatures as of Thursday.
According to Benjamin Joffe-Walt, director of communications for Change.org, Hardwick's petition has spurred several dozen people to launch drives of their own against other retailers.
Target, , and all plan to open at midnight on Thanksgiving, and will go one step further with a 10 p.m. open time, according to Change.org. Toys ‘R’ Us will be opening at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
