Strongsville Resident's Elf Could Fly over New York City

Vote on Facebook to turn 'Tinsel' into a balloon in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

A Strongsville resident is a finalist in Macy's Great American Elf Adventure, and if she wins, the elf she designed will become a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Bridget Mahoney's elf, Tinsel, was chosen as one of 85 nationwide finalists. 

The winner will be the elf that gets the most votes on Facebook. Follow this link to vote for Bridget's elf, which is No. 34.

Bridget, 13, is an eighth-grader at Incarnate Word Academy in Parma Heights.

You can vote till Sept. 12. The winner will be announced Sept. 14.

Contestants got a free blank elf statue from and painted it with their own design. The winning artist will get to see his or her elf made into a balloon that will fly in the Macy's parade on Thanksgiving.
