Work Progressing at Plaza, But Not on Discount Drug Mart Yet

No target opening date set for retailer

"Then they're going to start with the (Discount Drug Mart) expansion," he said.

Painter said he met this week with project representatives, who said fixing up a vacant spot in the plaza will take about a month.

The retailer plans to take over the site of the former Vigliucci's Bi-Rite at the corner of Prospect and Royalton roads for a 27,960-square-foot Discount Drug Mart.

The company will renovate and expand the former grocery store, adding 12,000 square feet to the front of the building, including a drive-through pharmacy.
