Pets and the Holidays

Pets are so photogenic during the holidays! Here Ace and Reeces enjoy the festivities. What does your pet like best about this time of year?

Pets sure can get excited during the holidays. Our son, Kevin, recently got a Golden Retriever and named him Ace.  Ace is now 15 weeks old and such a playful puppy. He really likes the snow, bounding and jumping through it.

It was really funny to watch him the first time he got snow on his nose. He wants to chase every squirrel and deer scent in our backyard field. The world is all new to him and there's so much to see, hear, smell, taste and do.

One day he sat down and cocked his little head to figure out there was a low flying plane, another he sat down on a walk to watch a flock of birds in the trees. He likes to sit down and watch (when he's not jumping all over). Maybe we should all take a lesson from Ace and slow down to discover the nearby happenings in nature and our world.

Our floppy ear bunny, Reeces, also enjoyed the holidays. (He was named Reeces because his coloration is like a chocolate peanut butter cup.)  Reeces is now two years old and is Nick's pet.  He hopped among the presents and under the Christmas tree. Like Ace, he had a stocking that Santa filled with treats.

Please post your pet pictures from the holidays to share with us. It would be fun to see yours too!
