More than 500 former residents of Hunting Meadows, Walnut Creek and Meadows West are reconnecting online

Live in Strongsville back in the day?

A bunch of people who grew up in one of the city's early subdivisions -- Hunting Meadows -- are reminiscing about the old days on one of Facebook's popular "I grew up in . . ." pages.

I Grew Up in Hunting Meadows in Strongsville, Ohio is "a place to reconnect who people you hung out with or just remember seeing around the neighborhood," writes Jim Sherry, who lived on the corner of Partridge and Deerfield and started the page in January 2010.

The page now boasts 409 members. 

Sherry writes that he created it on a whim and, two days later, found it had almost 100 members.

A couple of posts:

• "OK, who rode bus 32 (Mrs. Verbsky's bus) to Albion Junior High . . . tell me your best memories."

• "Who remembers Monkey Man who used to ride his bike around and give dirty looks to all us kids?"

• "Good ol' Raccoon Trail!"

• "Turkey Meadow Lane here. Very hard to order a pizza and have them take you seriously."

• "I have so many great memories of riding my bike around in search of the ice cream truck, roller skating in the street, kickball, and the great block party between the families on our street (Partridge Drive), Deer Path and Raccoon Trail."

• "I prolly stole beer out of half your garages when I was 15. Thx again guys."
