Planning to visit the Chalet Toboggan Chutes soon? Cleveland Metroparks has some special deals lined up next month.
February's promotions are:
Feb. 1: Winter Glove Giveaway
Feb. 3: Kick off the Big Day - Wear a team jersey/shirt and save $2
Feb. 8: Winter Glove Giveaway
Feb. 10: Dollar Day - $1 hot dogs and $1 sodas, and Lake Erie Monsters Street Team and Mascot
Feb. 14: Sweetheart Deal - $20 for two toboggan passes, two hot dogs, two hot chocolates and one fleece blanket
Feb. 15: Sweetheart Deal Deux (see Feb. 14 for details)
Feb. 17: Military I.D. Day - All military with a valid I.D. pay $5
Feb. 18: Presidents Day - holiday hours - noon to 5 p.m.
Feb. 24: Family Four-Pack - $30 for four toboggan Passes, four hot dogs and four sodas
All Thursdays:
Jan. 10 - Feb. 28: Student I.D. Night - all students with a valid I.D. pay $7.
The Chalet's new toboggan lift lets riders skip the hard work, carrying toboggans to the top.
The 700-foot chutes operate with or without snow.
Tobogganing hours for the season are:
Thursdays: 6 to 10 p.m.
Fridays: 6 to 10:30 p.m.
Saturdays: noon to 10:30 p.m.
Sundays: noon to 5 p.m.
Daily admission $10 for adults and $8 for children 11 and under. One-time ride tickets are available for $4.
The Chalet facility also features a main gathering area with a large-screen television, snack bar, loft area with video games, two fireplaces (indoor and outdoor), and indoor restrooms.
All riders must wear gloves or mittens. Children must be at least 42 inches tall to ride, and must be accompanied by an adult.
The Chalet Recreation Area is at 16200 Valley Parkway in Mill Stream Run Reservation, between Routes 42 and 82 in Strongsville.
