Nothing ruins a good time quicker than bad weather.
"We used to set up tents outside, but sometimes you get those summer storms, and the wind would blow them down," said Tim Zvoncheck, an officer .
So the post went to the city with plans to build a nearly 300-square-foot pavilion, which were approved by the .
Now, they just have to build it.
Zvoncheck said the pavilion is being built by Ramco Construction, and will cost the post about $14,000.
"We're hoping to get started in April, and be done by May 19," he said.
The pavilion will get its heaviest use during the four outdoor concerts the post hosts every summer.
"We'll put our grills there, our bartenders will set up there during the concerts," Zvoncheck said. "And we'll have picninc tables there, too, which anyone can use throughout the year."
