Jeff Ellis “stated “I have devoted myself to helping children develop self-confidence in order to face the challenges growing up”. Bullying is a pervasive problem facing our youth today. Jeff often hears from parents who express concern about their child who has been bullied.
Bullying takes place in different forms and can severely affect the victim's self-image, social interactions, school performance, etc. Ellis was a target of a bully too “I was bullied as a child growing up and know just how destructive bullying can be to a persons self-confidence. It can be a terrifying experience leaving bad memories for people for years”.
While bullying can happen to anyone, often the target is somehow different in size, appearance, etc. Children with developmental diabilities like Autism are no exception to being targets of bullying.
