Check Out These Fun New Reads!

Librarians Heather Timko, Dona Stein, & Jennifer Niederhausen bring you three great new books each week to check-out at the Strongsville Branch Library.

If you are looking for a fun light read, than we have what you need this week.  These new books are sure to please readers looking for a great entertaining novel. Happy Reading! 
                                                                             
Chose the Wrong Guy, Gave Him the Wrong Finger By Beth Harbison, July 2013, 384 pages.

Ten years ago Quinn was ready to marry her high school sweetheart Burke.  At the last minute, Burke’s brother and best man, Frank convinces Quinn that she is marrying the wrong man and she flees the altar to start a relationship with Frank.  That new relationship didn’t work either so Quinn spends the next 17 years working in a bridal shop with her family.  When the brothers show up back in town many years later, Quinn finds old feelings resurfacing and she starts to question whether she will ever find love.  Fans of women’s fiction will enjoy this new novel and will be rooting for the lead character.   

The Heist: a Novel By Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg, June 2013, 320 pages.

Fans of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series of books will be lining up for this new series co-authored by the bestselling author and television writer for the series Monk.  FBI Agent Kate O’Hare has been chasing con artist Nicholas Fox for years.  Fox pulls off the ultimate con when he convinces the FBI to offer him a job working side by side with O’Hare.  When the two are paired up to work on a case to stop a corrupt investment banker.  Will they be able to stop this crook before killing each other?  Readers will enjoy this hilarious action-packed new novel. 

Star Attraction By Alison Sweeney, May 2013, 272 pages.

You may recognize Sweeney’s name as a star on Days of our Lives and host of The Biggest Loser.  Now she’s adding writer to her resume.  In this debut novel, Sweeney does a good job of giving us an insider’s view of every day Hollywood.  The main character, Sophie, is a Hollywood publicist living the high life.  She has everything any girl could ask for, but then her life takes a sharp turn when she gets caught making out with one of her biggest clients.   This book is laugh out loud funny as Sophie reacts to all the craziness.  If you’re one of those people that scan the gossip magazines while waiting in line at the grocery story, you’ll enjoy this new novel.
