3 Odd Break-Ins Reported

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Three unusual burglaries or attempted break-ins were reported to police Friday and Saturday:

A tenant at a Whitney Road apartment told police Saturday someone had come into her apartment and used her make-up while she was out.

A report said the woman was credible and reasonable. She told officers someone had come into her unit once before in the five years she's lived there, but she did not report it.

Officers gave her advice on how to keep intruders out.

A Lunn Road resident heard someone pounding on her rear sliding door about 1 a.m. Friday.

Next thing she knew, the woman had climbed through a window and was in the living room.

The intruder was not looking to steal -- she was too intoxicated, according to a report. She was charged with disorderly intoxication and criminal mischief.

The woman told police she had left her car at .

A resident of a Pearl Road apartment heard noises at her door about 11:30 p.m. Saturday and looked out to see someone run away, get in a small car and leave.

Police found what appeared to be fresh pry marks on the door.
