6 Suspicious Things People Did in Cars Last Week

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

1. Jeep at gas station four hours — Employees at BP on Royalton Road said a black Jeep was in a corner of the parking lot at least four hours Sept. 17. When a customer went over to talk to the occupants about 2 a.m., it sped off.

2. Car pulls in driveway — A Lorraine Drive woman told police Sept. 16 that early that morning, a car pulled into her driveway, sat for two minutes, then left. The woman had the incident on videotape.

3. Woman sleeping in car — Police found a woman sleeping in her car in the Holiday Inn parking lot about 2 a.m. Sept. 16. The woman said she'd had a fight with her boyfriend and went there to wait for morning, when she would go to her sister's house in Strongsville.

4. Men sleeping in truck — Police were asked to check out two men in a pickup parked on Bent Tree Court about 5:20 p.m. Sept. 16. They told the officer they were waiting for a friend.

5. Car in driveway with lights off — A car in a Pearl Road driveway shortly after midnight Sept. 20 raised some suspicion. When police arrived, a tow truck was there. The driver had a flat tire and couldn't get the wheel off. Police called back the resident to explain why the car was there.

6. Parking lot waiting — A cleaner at AT&T on Royalton Road told police someone in a sedan was parked in the lot at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 20, watching the store. Police found a Lakewood man in the vehicle, waiting for the new iPhone to come out later that morning.
