Burglary; Car Break-Ins; Homeless Man Living at Walmart: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

 

A Ridge Creek Road resident told polic she arrived home about 6:30 p.m. May 3 to find someone had entered her house through a dining room window.

All her jewelry was missing, a report said.

Unlocked Cars

At least four cars were entered on two successive nights, according to reports.

On Chevy Chase, someone went through two cars in a driveway the night of May 3, but only change was taken.

The next night, a purse was taken from a car parked in a Forestview Drive driveway. 

The same night, a diaper bag and some CDs were stolen from a car on North Bexley Drive.

Hanging Out

A passerby reported a man reclining in a car outside Walmart and suspected he may be doing drugs.

Police spoke with the man, who said he is homeless and living in his car. He said he had been there for several weeks.

Officers asked him to move to a less-conspicuous spot.

Noisy Neighbors

Police broke up two loud parties May 3, both at about 10:30 p.m.

At one, on Atlantic Road, the noise was from a bunch of 14-year-olds who were quieted and then picked up by their parents.

At the other, on Hartford Trail, police were called to halt the loud music and yelling, and ended up issuing citations for underage drinking.
