Dead Ducks or Lucky Ducks?: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

 

A witness called police about 7 p.m. Jan. 22 after seeing a man drive his car drive right through a group of ducks crossing Prospect Road at Kylemore Drive.

Police went to the site, but found they must have been lucky ducks -- there were no dead fowl in the area.

Man Has to Pay for Entertainment

Police were called to Costco about 6:25 p.m. Jan. 22 after a man suspected of shoplifting DVDs for the last five days returned.

A report said the man was again in the DVD section.

Police arrested the suspect.

Another Car Part Stolen

A catalytic converter was stolen from a Chevy Cavalier parked at a Whitney Road apartment building Jan. 23.

The owner said it cost $604 to replace.

Suspicious Visitor

Someone rang the doorbell at a house on Hampton Chase about 1 p.m. Jan. 22, then, when no one answered, walked around the house peering through the windows.

The resident said her son was home at the time, but was on the phone and did not look outside to get a description.

A report said footprints went from the street to the back yard, then back to the street, but nothing seemed to be amiss.
