Firefighters Train on Building Slated for Wrecking Ball

Strongsville firefighters took advantage of a on Pearl Road just south of Royalton Road for some hands-on training this weekend.

Crews trained on different aspects of firefighting, including ventilation.

The building, which used to house Page One Realty and Subway, is to be torn down and replaced with a new retail strip, according to Economic Development Director Brent Painter.

Crews first had to remove some asbestos from the walls, he said.

The developer has not yet announced any tenants for the new building.
