A woman shopping at Target Saturday called police shen she discovered her purse missing from her cart.
But while police were taking a report about 1:15 p.m., a store employee located the purse.
The woman had taken somebody else's cart, leaving her purse in her own cart. The purse was still there, safe and sound.
Other shoppers haven't been so lucky. Police advise women not to put their purses in shopping carts, even if they don't leave the cart unattended.
Often, a shopper only has to turn her head to look for something on a shelf to give a thief an opportunity to pluck a wallet from her handbag.
