Gun in Restaurant; Woman Hears Yelling from Vacant House: Police Blotter

A woman walking her dog on Spinnaker Circle April 14 told police she heard someone yelling from a vacant house, "How long are you going to walk the dog?" through a closed window.

Police went to the house, which has no electricity, but no one answered the door.

A report said the house could pose a possible health hazard because officers could see food and trash strewn inside. The Building Department was notified.

Employees at B Spot weren't happy when they saw a diner wearing a gun April 13.

They questioned the man about it, but he just tried to cover the gun up, a report said.

Police explained Ohio's laws about carrying guns to the employees and said the man hadn't done anything wrong.

BB Vandal

Something shattered the front window of a home on Stag Thicket Lane about 9:15 p.m. April 13.

The residents didn't see or hear anything unusual prior to the window breaking.

Traffic Catastrophe? No, Just Strongsville on a Saturday

An anonymous caller reported that traffic was backed up on eastbound Royalton Road near Costco April 13, going so far over the yellow lines that cars couldn't get into SouthPark Mall.

Police checked the area and found "normal, everyday weekend traffic," a report said.

The Nose Knows

A Whitney Road resident reported that an apartment reeked of marijuana April 12.

An officer spoke with the tenant and said all he could smell was incense burning.

Rude Behavior

Three teens in a car threw garbage at a woman walking her dog on Waterford Parkway about 7:45 p.m. April 12.

They also yelled obscenities, a report said.

Vandalized Again

Someone keyed and egged a car on Partridge Drive the night of April 12, a report said.

Police said they believe it may be a case of mistaken identity because the car has been egged three times.
