Neighborhood Hit By Key-Carrying Vandal: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

At least four vehicles in the Meadowood area were scratched with profanities Saturday night.

One tire was also slashed, a report said.

And another resident in the neighborhood reported an iPod and other items stolen from a vehicle.

Reports of scratches in doors and bumpers came in from Clear Brook Circle, Meadowsouth Court, Pebble Brook Lane and Waterfall Road.

On Pebble Brook, the culprit also punctured a tire.

And at a fifth home, also on Waterfall, a $260 iPod was stolen from his car's center console, along with a pack of cigarettes and lighter.

Missing Girl Found in Strongsville

Medina police asked officers here to look for a 7-year-old girl after a GPS "ping" showed she was at SouthPark Mall Saturday.

The girl might be with her grandmother, the bulletin said, but the family couldn't contact her.

Officers checked the parking lots at the mall and Plaza at SouthPark for the grandmother's car, and also helped mall security look for them inside.

Medina police called back an hour later to say they were found at Costco. A Strongsville officer went to the store to verify.

Right Idea, But . . .

Police questioned a man who had pulled his car over on Sprague Road about 11 p.m. Saturday.

He told police he had pulled over to make a phone call. The officer advised him not to pull over on a street where parking is prohibited.
