No Flooding Yet Despite Heavy Rains

Police advise motorists to stay off the roads in neighboring Brunswick

The police department is reporting no road closings tonight despite the heavy rains.

A dispatcher said about 7:30 p.m. that Service Department crews are out working to clear leaves from ditches on a few streets where water started to back up.

In neighboring Brunswick, police sent out a Code Red alert to residents warning that a number of roads are flooded this evening. The high water is causing some cars to stall, the message said.
