Police Blotter: 2 Intoxicated Men Can't Figure Out How to Get in House

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police were called to Falmouth Drive about 4 a.m. Jan. 30 about a man yelling outside.

They arrived to find two highly intoxicated men trying to get into their own house.

A report said one man was dropped off by friends and ripped the code box off the garage door while trying to get inside.

His dad then came out the side door and couldn't figure out how to get back in because he was intoxicated, as well, the report said.

Officers called the rescue squad for one after he fell and hit his head.

The son was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Intruder Concerns Dog, But Not Police

A Hawks Lookout resident called police about 2 a.m. Jan. 30 after her dog started barking at the back door.

It was unusual for the dog to act that way, a report said.

Officers found no footprints in the snow, but said there were rabbit tracks.

Lots o' Diapers

A Northview Drive resident reported a fraud after finding someone used his Discover account to buy diapers.

The thief had ordered $545 worth of diapers online.

Grandma Left Behind

Police went looking for a teenager after she failed to pick up her grandmother at Feb. 1.

Employees at the store called police about 5:15 after noticing an elderly woman sitting on a bench for more than an hour.

The woman said her she was waiting for her granddaughter, who had taken her car, to pick her up.

Officers checked two locations where the girl might be, then drove the woman home themselves.

Theft from Vehicle

A Fox Grove resident reported a theft from a car parked in an attached garage.

The theft was reportd Jan. 31. The garage door was open at the time. The stolen items were not specified.

I agree with tom m. It is not "user friendly" at all! The whole setup and search isRead More terrible. This new format should be thrown out and the old one put back in place. A look at other Patch editions out of state also have very little comments now. I would much prefer the old Patch, but now a better alternative by far to this new Patch is any of these: http://www.strongsville.com/ and http://www.thepostnewspapers.com/strongsville/ and http://www.cleveland.com/strongsville/ and http://hometownindependent.com/strongsville/
