Police Blotter: 2 Suspicious Men Reported; Car Egged

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A man wearing fatigues and carrying a suitcase made employees at nervous June 1 after he watched them through the windows about 8 a.m. June 1.

He left, but kept walking around the Plaza at SouthPark parking lot, a report said.

Police spoke with the man, who said he was waiting for a friend who works at . They were in the Reserves and were heading out to drill.

The man was on probation, but was permitted to travel, the report said.

A Mallard Circle resident reported a man carrying bags and walking through the neighborhood shortly before midnight June 1.

Police located the man on Fox Hollow. He said he was looking for Raccoon Trail, but got disoriented after getting off a bus.

Officers drove him home.

Welfare Check

A passerby reported a man lying in a driveway on Drake Road near about 5:15 p.m. June 2.

Officers found the man highly intoxicated, a report said. He was taken to Southwest General Health Center.

Egging

A car in a Winding Trail driveway was pelted by eggs the night ob May 31.

One of the eggs also hit the house, a report said.

Missing Teen

Police joined a search for a 13-year-old who disappeared from the about June 1.

After the boy's brothers were unable to find him about 9:30 p.m., police watched security tape and found he had left the building around 9.

Officers and the youth's family started a search, looking for the boy in the surrounding area and interviewing potential witnesses.

The youth's father called police back about 10:30 p.m. and said he'd been located on Pearl Road.
