Police Blotter: $230 Pizza Prank; Man Asks Women for a Kiss

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Prospect Road pizza shop was out $230 worth of pizza May 18 after someone placed a large order, but never claimed it.

The order was placed from a blocked number, a report said.

A man driving a silver car has been harassing women outside Super Tan, 14181 Pearl Rd., a report said.

The man, who appears to be Hispanic, asks a woman for directions, then leans in the car window and asks for a kiss, or else compliments the woman.

He was there May 16, a report said, but had also been outside the business two weeks earlier.

One time he was dressed n; the other time in mechanic's clothes.

Police Call Off Fight

Several people reported a group of about 30 kids on Walnut Creek Drive, apparently for a fight, about 2:45 p.m. May 18.

When they saw police, they ran, a report said.

Stranded in Strongsville?

A man claiming to have lost his wallet on an RTA bus was asking people for money May 18, saying he was stranded here.

Police spoke with the man on Pearl Road near Westwood Drive, where he said he was trying to get enough money to get home.

He was warned about panhandling.

Burglary

A West 130th Street resident arrived home about 4:30 p.m. May 18 and found his house had been burglarized, a report said.

A TV and guns were missing.

Plants Stolen

An Iyami Court woman told police two gardenia plants were taken from her yard the night of May 18.

The plants were Mother's Day gifts, a report said.

Car Break-In

Someone tried to break into a car outside on Pearl Road about 4 p.m. May 20.

A woman found the lock on the driver's side smashed.
