Police Blotter: Bullet Holes in Houses; Cars Egged; Guitar Parts Everywhere

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Some Blazey Trail residents reported finding bullet holes in their houses Aug. 2.

A resident told police he had just noticed the four holes in his house, and also found several in his neighbor's.

Police determined the holes were caused by rock fragments thrown by the neighbor's lawn mower. Some pieces of rock were found in the holes.

Drive-By Egging

A Falmouth Drive resident said someone egged a vehicle parked in the street in front of her house between 1 and 11 p.m. July 30.

Police said it appears someone drove by and tossed the eggs. One other vehicle on the street was also hit.

About 1 a.m. Aug. 1, a Wilmington Drive family reported their house had been egged twice that night.

So '70s

Police were called to McDonald's about 7:50 p.m. Aug. 1 about a group of boys throwing a guitar around in the parking lot and in the bank next door.

Officers questioned one teen, who said he just wanted to smash an old guitar.

Police made him clean up all the mess.

Water Damage

A Stoney Point Drive resident reported July 31 that someone had poured water in her gas tank.

She found out when she took the car for repairs. It cost $800 to get it fixed.

Out the Money

A wallet containing $400 in cash was stolen from a car at July 31.

The owner said he left his wallet in the glove box of his friend's car.

No Cause for Alarm

Residents at a Whitney Road apartment got concerned when they heard kids in another unit yelling for help July 31.

Police spoke with a tenant who said he and his wife were trying to get their three childrento go to bed, but the kids are afraid of the dark.
