Police Blotter: Bullets at Best Buy; Loud Polka Music

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

 

Someone left bullets at Best Buy Sept. 29, a report said.

The store manager asked police to take the 9mm Rueger magazine with six bullets.

Twice in recent months, guns have been left behind in restrooms -- once in Walmart in August, and the other a week later at Panera.

Residents on Sassafras Drive called police about 10:30 a.m. Sept. 29 about loud polka music.

Police followed the music to a nearby home where residents were getting ready for a Serbian wedding.

The music was "extremely loud," a report said, and police advised the residents they would be cited if officers had to return.

Misunderstanding at the Mall

A woman called police to SouthPark Mall Sept. 28, saying a man tried to lure her and her daughter into his van by saying, "Hey girls, why don't you get in the van?"

Police found the man, who was surprised to hear the allegation. He told officers he was trying to back up in a crowded area and had warned the woman to "stay out of the way of the van."

Police said it appeared to be a simple misunderstanding.

Rumbling

A Glenncreek Lane resident reported a rumbling sound that could be heard repeatedly about 10 p.m. Sept. 30.

The man said he could near the noise every 30 seconds; it had been going on for the last 45 minutes.

Noisy Beer Pong

Neighbors complained about Sept. 28 about a house on Moss Ridge Circle where people were screaming about 3:45 a.m.

Police spoke to a resident, who said they were playing beer pong and had the windows open. He agreed to quiet down.
