No Shopping There

Police checked out a suspicious vehicle on Foltz Parkway about 2 p.m. Sunday.

A report said as the officer approached, everyone in the car was looking at their cell phones.

The passengers, all from Norwalk, said they were trying to get to SouthPark Mall, but their GPS took them off course.

The officer gave them directions.

Kids Prank Police

Dispatchers handled a 911 call about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7 from a Selby Circle home in which kids screamed into the phone and pressed buttons.

They refused to give the phone to an adult, a report said.

Police said a parent finally came on and was asked to talk to the kids about what 911 is for.
