Police Blotter: Green Beer Poured Over Woman's Head; Other St. Pat's Trouble

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police were called to Dapper Dan's on Prospect Road about 1:30 a.m. Sunday because some customers were "going crazy and throwing things," a report said.

The troublemakers had left when police arrived, but the barmaid told officers words were exchanged between six or eight St. Patrick's Day patrons. When she got involved, someone poured a beer over her head.

She told officers not to pursue the matter further.

A party of Buccaneer Creek brought out police about 10 p.m. Saturday after a caller said there was a karaoke machine and small fire in the front yard.

Officers told the host twice to turn down the music before she complied, a report said.

Residents on Windward Way reported a silver Chevy filled with people in Irish clothing and two males sitting in the trunk about 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

The car returned a few minutes later with a girl hanging out the window.

Woman Living in Van

Employees at Heinen's reported Saturday that a woman had been living in a van in their parking lot since Tuesday, bathing in the store's restroom.

The woman told police she was indigent, but said she had a brother in Lakewood.

The brother took the woman to a hotel for the weekend and said he would try to find a place for her to live.

Payday Scam?

A Cherry Tree Drive man told police he got a strange call saying he had a balance of $496 on a cash advance.

The man said he has paid off all his loans and wanted the call documented.
