Police Blotter: Man Hangs Out at Water Tower Because Air is Better There

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Strongsville man found wandering near the police station at 4 a.m. March 19 told officers he had a good reason for being there.

He said he came over to the police department because the air is better in that part of the city.

Police noticed him near the water tower and questioned him. He was sent on his way.

Out of Juice

Police gave a hand to a man who got stuck in the parking lot about 11 p.m. March 21 when his motorized wheelchair's battery ran down.

An officer pushed him to an outlet at he restaurant and said he'd be back to check on him in a half hour.

When he returned, the man was gone. The officer checked the area and surmised he must have made it home.

Bus Fire?

A passerby reported seeing flames coming from the top stack of an RTA bus on Pearl Road near Drake Road about 7:15 a.m. March. 20.

An officer followed the bus, but so no sign of flames.

Oh, and See if the Iron's on, Too

A man on his way to Australia asked police to check to see if he'd left a toilet running.

He asked an officer to go to the back of his house March 22 and listen for running water.

The officer did and could not hear anything unusual.

Resident Wonders Why Man is Knocking

A North Inlet Drive man reported somone knocked hard on the door for 10 minutes March 19, then took pictures of a car in the driveway and the mailbox before leaving.

Police tracked down the man, who said he was knocking hard because no one was answering.

He said he was there to pick up paperwork in lieu of foreclosure.

Drug Run

Two men flagged down a cab driver about 2:30 a.m. March 22 to ask where they could get drugs.

Police found the two men highly intoxicated and drinking outside their room at on Pearl Road. 

Officers told them to go inside and warned if they had to return, they would be cited for disorderly conduct.
