Police were called to about 8 p.m. July 21 after a witness complained about an elderly man talking pictures of young females with his phone.
The man did not speak English, but said -- though his daughter -- that he did not understand the American culture. He apologized for taking photos of the girls.
An officer watched as the man deleted the pictures from his phone. He was ejected from the mall and banned for three months by security officers.
Money Hunt on Hunt
A witness reported seeing a middle-aged woman in the middle of Hunt Road picking up money about 11:50 a.m. July 20.
There was money all over the road, the caller said.
When police arrived, they found no woman or money in the road.
A Scott Drive man spotted a pickup truck sitting in front of his house the morning of July 20.
The driver reportedly told him he was nosy and to mind his own business, then took off northbound on Prospect Road.
The resident followed the truck, but police told him to go home and wait for them to arrive.
An officer said he would try to contact the driver to see what he was doing on the street.
Partiers Get Cited
A loud party brought police to Howe Road about 3:30 a.m. July 21 after a caller said the resident hosts guests every weekend.
Police cited the resident for a noise disturbance. A report said the man was not pleased, and said he will be happy to take a ticket every time.
Theft from Auto
A laptop and some other items were taken from a car on Shireen Drive, a report said.
The theft occurred sometime during the night of July 20.
Door Open, Mess Inside
A Sprague Road noticed the front door of a nearby house was open July 22 and reported it to police because the home has been vacant for years.
Police found the inside was a mess and had been damaged. It was not known how long the house had been open.
Officers asked the city's Building Department to check the house and secure it.
