Police Blotter: Sneaking Around Barricade Not the Best Idea

A North Royalton woman who didn't take the "Road Closed" sign on Albion Road at face value paid a hefty price.

A report said the woman's Ford Focus got stuck in the mud about 2 a.m. Nov. 15 as she tried to go arround the barricade.

Police had to call a wrecker to free the car and could charge the woman with trespass.

Car Break-In

Someone entered an unlocked car on Lanier Avenue the night of Nov. 15.

A report said the glove box was rifled, but nothing was taken, even though there was a GPS in the vehicle.

Crazy Like a Dog

A witness reported a small dog running down Royalton Road about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

Police found the animal, but it was a baby fox. A report said the little guy made it to the ravine by .

Theft from Church

Two teachers at had money taken from their purses Nov. 17.

Both had left their purses on the counter about 15 minutes. There were about 350 people there that day.

The thief got $30 from one purse and $32 from the other.

Unusual Fraud

A woman complained that someone used her information to buy a pillow at a store at .

She said the manager called her to let her know she hadn't used her coupon yet, someone in the store overheard and claimed to be her.

The trouble was that the woman's personal information was on the receipt given to the impostor.
