The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Another round of attacks on mail was reported on Stoughton Drive the morning of Dec. 27 when residents found mailboxes had been opened all down the street.

A resident told police he picked up some mail he found on a tree lawn and replaced it in the boxes where it belonged.

Yoo Hoo, Trouble Over Here

A Heritage Trail resident reported someone broke full bottles of Yoo Hoo chocolate drink in her driveway the night of Dec. 26.

There have been other similar incidents in the last year, the resident said.

Snowballs and Eggs

Police got two calls about groups of kids in the area of Forestwood Drive and Beechwood Lane about 11 p.m. Dec. 29 -- one about kids running down the street screaming vulgar language and the other about teens throwing eggs from a car.

Officers located the first group, found them having a snowball fight, and told them to go in for the night.

They then stopped a car with four boys and escorted them to one youth's house, where they were spending the night.

The boy's mother promised the kids would clean up any egg mess in the morning. Police confiscated a laser pointer from one boy.

Drive-By Painting

An Autumn Oval family woke up Dec. 27 to find paintballs spattered on the front of their home.

The paint washed off, a report said.

The Sound of Little Paws

A River Moss Road resident called for help about 7:40 p.m. Dec. 27 after hearing what sounded like an animal in her ceiling.

A police officer said it sounded like a raccoon or possum. The animal warden was tied up, but said he would get rid of it in the morning.
