Police Blotter: Witness Reports Gun, But Chances are Remote

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A witness told police a man in a Pearl Road apartment threatened another man with a gun about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 29.

The witness said the suspect was on a second-floor balcony. The man he threatened left in a car.

Police questioned the tenant, who acknowledged there was an incident. But he said someone in the parking lot threw an apple his apartment window. He went out and they exchanged words.

He carried his TV remote onto the balcony when he went out, a report said.

Odd Accident

Two cars were damaged in an unusual accident Oct. 28.

Police said a truck carrying a Dumpster hit a bump on Royalton Road, causing the Dumpster door to swing open and strike two vehicles.

The door broke windows of both cars, and also damaged the door frame of one.

Suspicious Dog Walking

A passerby asked police to check on a man walking a Great Dane around the Target parking lot Oct. 28.

The witness said the man was talking to himself and the dog looked under-nourished.

Stop the Scamming

An Olympus Way woman keeps getting phone calls from people trying to scam her, a report said.

Police contacted one of the callers and warned them not to call back. They also gave the woman a scam hotline and some advice on how to handle future calls.
