A Whitney Road woman woke up with a problem May 5 -- her car, cell phone and Wii game system, as well as the man she'd just met, were missing.
The woman told police she had brought an unknown man home the night before.
When she woke up, she found a note from the man saying he would return, according to a report.
Police checked around for the vehicle until the man did, in fact, bring it back. The woman told officers to cancel the stolen car report because he brought it back undamaged.
Police were called to Foltz Parkway May 4 to help a woman get into her car -- and to help the three dogs inside get out.
The woman told police the dogs had hit the lock button.
A driver's day wasn't bad enough when he hit another car at I-71 and Royalton Road about 6 p.m. May 4.
It got worse when he told the other driver he needed to go the bathroom and walked away from the scene.
Police located him nearby. In addition to the citation for assured clear distance, he was also charged with leaving the scene.
Officers also found marijuana in his car, which will result in another charge.
Two ladders valued at $400 were taken from a Whitney Road yard in the last few days.
The theft was reported May 4.
Suspicious Bag Checked
Police were called to check out a man who kept leaving a bag outside CVS on Pearl Road, walking away, then coming back to get it.
The man told police he was waiting for his girlfriend. He said he left the bag outside when he went into the store so nobody thought he was stealing anything.
Officers checked the bag and found "nothing extraordinary" inside, a report said.
