Police Blotter: Woman Flashes Cars on Pearl Road; 2 Burglaries

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A woman at the corner of Whitney and Pearl roads reportedly made quite a spectacle of herself about 6:45 p.m. June 26 -- making lewd gestures at people, lifting up her shirt and pulling down her pants as cars passed.

An officer went to the scene, but called for backup after a witness said two men put her in a pickup truck and left, with the woman yelling "Call 911" and "Don't let them take me."

Police located the truck, several men and the woman at . The woman was not being held, and the men said the woman got into the truck willingly.

The woman has highly intoxicated and acting irrationally, the report said.

Officers drove the woman home and advised her to keep her clothes on in the future.

Fireworks Spark Fire

Benwood Court residents reported kids shooting off fireworks at , some of which ignited dry grass about 10:45 p.m. June 25.

One resident heard the kids run through her yard laughing.

Police were unable to locate the teens, who got into a car and fled the area.

Burglaries

Two home break-ins were reported in the last few days.

On June 26, a Greenbrier Drive resident arrived home about 8:45 p.m. to find someone had been in the house.

A neighbor saw kids running from the house about 3:30 p.m., a report said.

They got in through a patio door.

And on June 28, a tenant at a Whitney Road apartment arrived home about 6:45 p.m. to find someone had entered through a window and stole several items, including a big-screen plasma TV.

Locked In

When you were a kid, did you ever fantasize about being locked in a store -- or maybe your school -- overnight?

It's not so much fun when you're an adult. An employee at  called 911 about 10 p.m. June 25 to say she was locked in the store.

A manager went there with the key, but the woman had already gotten out through a fire exit.

Porn Goes to Wrong Number

An Applewood Lane woman went to police after getting two pornographic pictures sent to her cell phone.

Officers tracked down the sender, who said he sent them to the woman by accident. He apologized for his error, a report said.

Police warned him about the potential consequences for sending those types of pictures to anyone.
