Police Blotter: Woman Thinks She Sees a Gun; Theft from Car

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

 

A caller told police she saw a male wearing a varsity jacket and carrying what appeared to be a gun on Royalton Road about 2:45 p.m. Nov. 2.

He ran across the street toward the hotels, a report said.

Police spoke with employees at the Shell station, who said they didn't see anyone. However they said they always see kids carrying hockey sticks to Hoover Arena and speculated that's what the woman saw.

A GPS, cigars and other items were taken from a car on Burgandy Drive the night of Nov. 3.

A report said the GPS was worth $119. A $50 Bluetooth device was also taken, as were three cigars valued at $15.

Partway Home

Police found a man lying on the tree lawn by Shinto about 3:30 a.m. Nov. 3.

The man said he was walking home to Brunswick from Brook Park.

The officer gave him a lift the rest of the way.

Threats

Police followed a Brunswick woman home from her job at a Pearl Road office in Strongsville Nov. 2 after her boyfriend threatened her.

The woman received a text saying, "You hurt me and now I'm going to hurt you," a report said.
