Police Blotter: Xbox Hacking, 18 Accidents, Balloon on the Loose

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

A Webster Road mom said she was concerned that someone could commit fraud through her son's Xbox Live account.

The woman told police Saturday that someone her son was playing against online asked him for his password, and he gave it.

She had already contacted Xbox Live and put a freeze on the account. Police advised her to call back if she needs to file a report.

No serious injuries were reported.

Most of the crashes involved vehicles slipping off the road or hitting guardrails and signs.

Open Door

Relatives were worried when they went to check on a family member's house on Meadow Lane Saturday afternoon and found the front door open.

Police walked through the house and found nothing disturbed.

A report said it appears the wind blew the door open.

The Answer is Blowin' in the Wind

Police were called to Hawthorne Lane Friday morning when an alarm went off.

A resident also returned home and met police to walk through the house.

They found the culprit still inside -- a helium balloon. A report said it appeared the balloon floated past a motion sensor, triggering the alarm.
