Passersby reported two incidents of dangerous conditions in hot cars July 30 -- one involving a dog and the other, a child.
About 11:30 a.m., police at the next to told police they had found a dog in a car for more than an hour, with the windows cracked only a bit.
An assistant animal warden checked and said the dog needed to be removed as quickly as possible.
The Clinic paged the owner, a Brunswick woman, who had returned to the vehicle when police arrived. She received "a stern lecture and a warning," a report said.
About 7:45 p.m., a witness outside reported a young girl sitting alone in inside a Jeep, sweating.
The vehicle left just before police arrived. Officers checked Royalton Road, but couldn't locate it.
