Police Identify 'Vandal;' Dead Person in Car?: Police Blotter

The following information was provided by the Strongsville Police Department

A Whitney Road resident told police Sept. 23 someone has been randomly letting the air out of her tires for four years.

An officer who checked reported that the car has very old tires. "She was advised to get new tires and this should alleviate the problem," the report said.

Seeing Dead People?

A passerby reported seeing a car in a Royalton Road parking lot Sept. 25 with either a dead person or a dummy inside.

Police found it was a Halloween mask draped over the passenger seat.

Oh, Deer; a Human Bone?

A resident on Deer Run Lane found a bone in in a back yard and wasn't sure if it was a deer bone or human, a report said.

An officer took the deer bone and disposed of it.

Odd Theft

A tow truck was stolen from a business on Foltz Industrial Parkway the night of Sept. 25, a report said.

Suspicious Truck

A woman who walks in the morning reported a man in a truck watching her on Bennington Drive.

On Sept. 26, she said the man not only watched, but got out of the truck as she passed.

Police told her to call police if she sees the vehicle again.

Purse Theft

A shopper lost her purse to a thief Sept. 23 when she left it in her unlocked vehicle while she was at the Salvation Army store on Pearl Road.

She was only gone about 10 minutes, a report said.
