Simonoski Remains in Jail Following Ax Attack

Pre-trial is delayed again

The man accused of with an ax Aug. 21 remains in jail on $500,000 bond. 

A pre-trial set for Aco "Alex" Simonoski this morning was continued as the defendant obtained new counsel, according to Maria Russo, spokeswoman for Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Bill Mason.

The next pre-trial is set for Nov. 10.

Simonoski, 51, formerly of Hollo Oval, has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder. He is charged with getting an ax from the garage during a domestic dispute and hitting his wife, Milka, in the head with it twice.

He is also accused of chopping his oldest daughter, Bilyana, 22, in the wrist as she tried to protect her mother.

Milka, who spent weeks in the hospital, is at an area nursing home. Bilyana had surgery on her wrist and is now in physical therapy.

the day of the incident after she wrestled her father into the garage. Witnesses said she was screaming, "You killed my mother."

Friends have for the three adult children -- Bilyana, Vesna, 21, and Alex, 20.
