Strongsville Police Blotter: Barefoot Pacing Draws Suspicion

The following information was provided by the Strongsville police department

Police were called to Pearl Road June 10 to talk with a barefoot man who was seen pacing back and forth about 9 p.m.

The man told officers he has a broken foot and he sometimes paces without his shoes to help it heal.

Someone entered a car that was left running for about 20 minutes on Whitney Road June 10 and stole keys and a cell phone.

Police advised the victim to turn off the cell service and said they would put the house on special attention.

Vehicle Vandalized

Both rearview mirrors were broken off a car on Westminster Drive the night of June 11. Damage is estimated at $500.

Lake Lease is Up

An Albion Road man told police he allowed a neighbor to put a boat in his pond until he got the trailer fixed.

That was two years ago. He said he wants the boat removed.

Police could not get an answer at the neighbor's door. They left a note to remove the boat as soon as possible.

Phone Threats and Gunshots

A Whitney Road man got concerned when he got a call from a man who threatened to come over and shoot him -- and there were gunshots in the background.

The man said he did not know who it was, but said he did lose his cell phone about  a month ago and has been getting prank calls ever since. 

Theft from Vehicle

A satellite radio and iPod were stolen from a car on Rabbit Run Drive early June 11. The victim said the car was left open because the locks are broken.
